About Trexprene:
- Trexprene ® is a fully vulcanized EPDM rubber dispersed in a Polypropylene matrix similar in many ways to Santoprene ® from Advanced Elastomer Systems.
- The original Trexprene ® grades were made to be direct offsets for the then currently used TPV materials, since that was what most automotive specifications were written around.
- Comtrex designed Trexprene ® technology specifically to allow us formulation flexibility to meet demanding pre-colored molded in color interior appearance parts. This demands higher flow rates, UV stabilization technology, gas fade resistance and pleasing tactility.
- Trexprene ® is an ideal choice for:
- Applications that specify critically colored TPV/TPE’s.
- Black or Natural underhood and chassis exterior applications.
- Two Shot applications where critical color match / harmony and bonding is necessary.
